On August 1, Governor Bullock announced the Broadband for Montana Schools Program. House Bill 390 designated $2 million to boost access to high-speed broadband, giving schools the ability to develop 21st-century classrooms and providing students with more digital learning tools. The funds will be used as state match to leverage broadbands funds available through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) E-rate discount program.
Community Development Division (CDD), as the administrator of the Broadband for Montana Schools Program, is happy to announce that we have contracted with seven E-rate consultants to assist schools in the application process to secure the FCC E-rate discount. CDD will reimburse the consultant up to $5,000 per school to assist your school for services completed for the FCC E-rate application process. The consultants are eager to assist you in the process.
