Welcome to the Official Community Development Division website!
It is with great pleasure that the Montana Department of Commerce welcomes Jennifer Olson as the new Administrator of the Community Development Division (CDD). For the past decade, Jennifer worked tirelessly in CDD collaborating with local governments, nonprofit organizations, and community-minded professionals. She helped foster innovative and effective approaches for Montana communities to solve their greatest needs. Prior to working with CDD, Jennifer worked as “boots-on-the-ground” providing individualized supportive services to families in need.
Jennifer is a graduate of Montana State University, a certified Housing Development Finance Professional, a 2013 Leadership Helena alumni, and a proud mother of three ‘pretty-awesome’ Helena public school graduates. As the new Administrator, Jennifer’s passion for Montana and its citizens will translate to support activities and initiatives across the state to build resilient communities where Montanans work, live, and play.
Collaboration and communication is a key priority for CDD, as valued partners helping to achieve successes for Montana communities, Commerce would like to invite you to meet Jennifer on January 5, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in conference room 228 at 301 South Park Ave, Helena. If you are unable to attend, please feel free to contact Jennifer at firstname.lastname@example.org or 406-841-2770.
The Community Development Division helps Montana communities offer safe, efficient, and quality public facilities including: streets, water and sewer services, schools, affordable and attractive housing and neighborhoods; excellent health care facilities and socials services; a vibrant economy; and job opportunities. This assistance is provided through programmatic and technical resources that help communities attain these goals and benefit all Montanans.
