Community Development Division
The quality of life in our communities is important to us. We want our communities to be well-planned, attractive places where people will want to live, raise a family, or own a business. We want our Montana communities to offer the amenities that make a community a special place to call home and be proud of. Just to name a few: we want good and efficient public facilities including streets, water, and sewer services; affordable and attractive housing and neighborhoods; excellent health care facilities and social services, along with a vibrant economy and job opportunities to allow our young people to stay in their home towns.
The Community Development Division may have some of the resources that can help your community attain these goals, including financial assistance or information for:
- planning, financing and constructing public facilities,
- providing decent and affordable housing for low and moderate income families and renewing and improving neighborhoods,
- community planning and growth management; and
- dealing with community impacts from coal or hard rock mining and related development.
Please contact us to see if our state or federal programs can help your community be an even better place to live.
